Del Mar Villa Wedding Inspiration

An amazing team of vendors came together on a beautiful day in Oregon wine country to create this beautiful blossom inspired editorial. The shoot took place at Del Mar Villa, one of Oregon's newest wedding venues, and centered around the beautiful grand staircase. When I first saw photos of the entryway I was immediately reminded of the beautiful staircase in Musee Rodin and my first trip to Paris in the spring.

I knew that I wanted to incorporate a variety of blossoming branches and pink florals along with pearl details and a fabulous second look. I was so lucky to be able to partner with Kasa Kasma, who makes the most gorgeous pearl earrings, and use her bow earrings and a dainty pearl necklace. I paired this with a Justin Alexander ball gown and pearl veil from Charlotte's Weddings for an elegant pearl-inspired ensemble. Del Mar Villa has an amazing long hallway lined with windows and I had envisioned a fun black dress for a second look and when I saw the black feather trimmed dress I knew it would be perfect. I put our handsome groom in a classic black velvet suit that matched both looks.

For the table, I went with an elegant yet whimsical look with black and pink tableware from The Party Place. I added in antique glass candlesticks with black candles and arrangements with roses, ranunculus, and plum blossoms. The incredibly talented Kallie Dawn and I placed it under the staircase for a #podperfect (a term Kallie coined) placement. A huge thank you to the amazing vendor team who helped me put everything together. You are all awesome!
